Psychological Assessments for Better Mental Wellbeing

Through the provision of Autism, ADHD and Cognitive assessments for both adults and children, we help you or your child uncover insights that support real change, confidence and wellbeing.

Personalised Psychological Assessments for Better Mental Wellbeing

Understanding yourself or your loved one can make a world of difference, and that’s where our psychological assessments come in. At Sureway Health and Wellbeing, we provided trusted assessments for children, teens and adults from our locations in Melbourne (Bundoora & Eltham) or via telehealth Australia wide.

We can assess a wide range of needs, including ADHD, autism, cognitive concerns, and more. Whether you are seeking an assessment for yourself or a loved one through a face-to-face or telehealth psychological assessment, we’re here to support you.

Each assessment is designed to provide clarity, guide the next steps, and connect you with the right supports. We’re here to help you take that first step toward personalised care and support.

Our Assessment Services

Autism Assessments

We offer comprehensive autism assessment services for children, teens, and adults. If you’re noticing early signs in your child or seeking clarity as an adult, our supportive team is here to guide you through every step of the assessment journey. Autism assessments are also available via telehealth Australia wide.

Recognising the Signs of Autism in Children and Adults
Autism can present differently across age groups, with signs often including communication challenges, sensory sensitivities, and social difficulties. If you’re noticing behaviours that feel outside the norm, a child autism assessment can help bring clarity.

Why a Diagnosis Matters
Getting an official diagnosis can open the door to tailored support, therapy options, and NDIS funding (pending NDIS eligibility criteria being met). It also helps individuals and families better understand their needs and strengths.

What the Assessment Process Looks Like
Our Autism assessment services are tailored to each individual and include the use of approved, gold standard assessment materials such as ADOS-2 for children and MIGDAS for adults.  The assessment process will include interviews with your psychologist, questionnaires / diagnostic assessments and a follow up session to explain the outcome of the assessment and your report to you.  Children will require feedback to be provided by parents and other carers as well as other treating professionals including teachers where appropriate, to ensure that a comprehensive assessment is provided.

Support After Your Diagnosis
After your assessment, our team will guide you through the next steps, offering therapy, care planning, and referrals for ongoing support. We’re here to help you or your child thrive beyond diagnosis with personalised care.

ADHD Assessments

We offer comprehensive ADHD assessments for adults and children to help individuals better understand how this condition may be affecting their daily lives. Through our service, we’ll help you explore common signs and symptoms of ADHD, the benefits of diagnosis, what to expect during your ADHD assessment, and the support available after diagnosis to help you or your loved one thrive. We also provide online ADHD assessments through telehealth.

Recognising the Signs of ADHD in Children and Adults
ADHD can look different in kids and adults. Common signs include inattention, difficulty with memory, low organisational ability, impulsivity, restlessness and difficulty focusing.

Why Getting an ADHD Diagnosis Matters
A formal diagnosis can provide clarity, open access to tailored therapies, and help individuals feel understood. Our ADHD assessment services are designed to support both accurate diagnosis and effective care planning.

What Happens During an ADHD Assessment
During an assessment, we use evidence-based tools and interviews to evaluate symptoms, behaviour, and daily functioning. Each process is personalised to suit the individual’s needs and goals.

Ongoing Support After an ADHD Diagnosis
Post-diagnosis, we offer therapy and other forms of support to help individuals manage symptoms and build confidence.

Behavioral assessments can also be delivered via telehealth across Australia, making it easy to access expert guidance and tailored support.

Why Behavioural Assessments Matter
A behavioural assessment can help uncover the root causes of challenging behaviours in both children and adults. It’s especially useful when early intervention or targeted strategies are needed for home, school, or everyday life.

What to Expect from the Assessment Process
Each behaviour assessment is tailored to the individual and may include interviews, observations, and standardised tools to understand behavioural patterns and triggers.

Support Beyond the Assessment
Following your behavioural assessment, our team will guide you through the next steps. These involve offering therapy, practical strategies, and compassionate support to help manage behaviours and build positive routines.
